My small headcannon is that the poachers in the villagers stole an actual calf and left it after collecting all the impersonators in their crates and my lil guy just happens to casually walk past them carrying more stolen eggs thinking they are helping evacuate unborn hatchlings from this one building in the village at the back of the carnage!
