Self Discovery is a collection of prompts to grow and expand your character's place in the world. Through hardships to love and creativity, you can expand on the milestones your Elyxian has accomplished during their life journey. 

Only one submission for any prompt in this selection per day!
Only the main species can apply for these prompts.
Please mention if you are completing one of these prompts alongside another (etc foraging/event) so a mod may allocate badges.
Ensure to link characters to your prompts. You can not do two Self Discovery prompts in one artwork.
If a pet is gaining a badge, ensure the owner is attached to the claim. 
If a mod has not given you the bonus AC and badge, please make a claim. 

Every Elyxian begins with an origin. We are not always tied to our roots, but they are a part of us, and acknowledging where we came from can help us explore who we are.  Created inside a factory, nurtured by a loving family, born in an ethereal plane, every species, and being has a different story of origin to tell, and now is your chance to start the first chapter of many in the world of Elyxium.

Requirements
The prompt requires a scenic background with your character and at least half-body or 1000 words+
No Chibi/sketches for the main character.
You can only feature 1 main Elyxian per submission that the prompt revolves around, other side characters can be included. 
Your main character can be pictured as an egg/small form however deductions may be applied for very simple depictions. 
Parent figures can be included if not on the masterlist, but count towards the background complexity. 
Your character must be partaking in an activity that fits into the following.
     - How was the character was created, was this in a loving home? Were they abandoned? Were they created artificially?
     - Where was your Elyxian when they first saw the world?
     - What was your Elyxian's first stages of life like?

Once you have completed this artwork, please submit to the prompt with the title of - Our Roots (Prompt) and include a link to their masterlist of the featured character.

For Hatchlings
Once your Hatchling is level 3 or higher, you can submit a prompt that allows you to unlock their restriction. You can easily tell if your character is classified as a hatchling if their code is "HTCH" or they are labeled as Hatchling on the right panel. 

Adult Elyxians
If your character is not age locked you can still submit your character for this prompt once per character! Let your creative juices flow and develop important memories for your Elyxian beings. You can use a "younger" version of your Elyxian if applicable, the hatchling forms don't need to be approved, but should show some sort of change from their older counterparts while clearly being recognizable. *Cursed Cyphons can be drawn as blessed for this prompt, but need to keep the same design.

Requirement
The prompt requires a scenic background with your character and at least kneehigh or 1200 words+
No Chibi/sketches for the main character.
You can only feature 1 main Elyxian per submission that the prompt revolves around, other side characters can be included. 
Your character must be partaking in an activity that fits into the following.
     - An event that shapes your Elyxians life or personality/beliefs.
     - An event that leads to your Elyxian finding a skill. 
     - An event that depicts your Elyxian finding a home or place that they belong.  

Once you have completed this artwork, please submit to the prompt with the title of - Childhood Memories (Prompt) and include a link to their masterlist of the featured character.
Age restrictions will be unlocked to allow your character to canonically age up for hatchlings. You can decide if you want to remake their masterlist image to represent their age, but this is not necessary, you can still draw their older or younger versions.

Home is more than a word. It's a place where the heart belongs. It doesn't need to be a town or a district, but a place one feels safe and comfortable. It can take months or years to find a place to call home, and from here one can begin to create strong ties with the friends around them.

Requirement
The prompt requires a scenic background (Must clearly depict a location) with your character and at least kneehigh or 1000 words+
No Chibi/sketches for the main character.
You can only feature 1 main Elyxian per submission that the prompt revolves around, other side characters can be included. 
Your character must be partaking in an activity that fits into the following.
     - Being in a clearly identifiable location the Elyxian views as their homeland.
     - Being in a room or shelter the Elyxian lives in.
     - Your character finds the perfect home/city for the very first time.  

Once you have completed this artwork, please submit to the prompt with the title of - A Place to Call Home (Prompt) and include a link to their masterlist of the featured character.

Along one's life journey one may meet many friends and companions on the way, but some form bonds that transcend life itself; a soul mate. Love comes in all forms, and the beings of Elyxium can find comfort in experiencing life with their other half.

Requirement
The prompt requires a scenic background (Must clearly depict a location) with your character and at least halfbody or 800 words+
This particular prompt can be combined with events/other prompts but must ONLY contain the two characters as the focus that the relationship involves. 
No Chibi/sketches for the main character.
This prompt can be done multiple times.
This prompt awards the two Elyxians featured. 
Your character must be partaking in an activity that fits into the following.
     -Interacting with their romantic partner/mate

Pairing Notice
Canonically some species can not be romantically paired.  
Lurkers, Feinds, and Liches can be paired with each other and Main species (excluding below). 
Shingalings can only be romantically paired with the same species. 
Lockeys can only be romantically paired with the same species. 
VOIX can only be romantically paired with the same species.

Friendships can be found in the most unlikely of places and can elevate one's potential when carried by those who care for them. 

Requirement
The prompt requires a scenic background (Must clearly depict a location) with your character and at least halfbody or 800 words+ If literature is submitted, must have a heavy focus on the friendship dynamic (not just a mention). 
This particular prompt can be combined with events/other prompts. 
No Chibi/sketches for the main character.
This prompt can be done multiple times.
This prompt awards the Elyxians featured. Max of 3 in one artwork that can be progressed. 
Your character must be partaking in an activity that fits into the following.
     -Interacting with their potential/friend. 

Once you have completed an artwork for this prompt, please submit to the prompt with the title of - Forging Friendships (Prompt) and include a link to their masterlist of the featured characters. If this is a joined prompt, submit it to the event/quest and mention in the comment that it is also advancing the character's relationship. 
If you already have approved artworks that fit this prompt, please submit them as a claim. All previous artworks as proof need to be included.
3 Stages

Pets come in all shapes and sizes, and in such a dangerous world one can not help but be drawn to protect and nurture the weaker. Pets are a common companion for the main species of Elyxium, and offer a number of advantages in return for their hospitality. Whether it is companionship, help around the home, a hunting pal, a disability aid, a voice, or a protector, pets love to help where they can, and share their unique personalities and abilities with you! Draw your pet in their first interaction with the character they belong to! This can be the foraging location they were found, the pet store, a quest, or something totally unique! 

Requirements
The prompt requires a background with your pet (Fullbody) and at least half-body for the main species, or 500 words+
No sketches for the main pet.
You can only feature 1 main pet per submission that the prompt revolves around, other side characters can be included. 
This can only be completed once per pet, but unlimited for the owner character.
Prompt must depict a story of their first interaction/meeting/how the pet was adopted!
Can be combined with any other art submission. (Quests/Foraging etc)
Pet must be visible in your main inventory. 
Mention the art also applies for this prompt if a mixed submission (Quest+Homebound)
