The Swan King

The lone ruler to Norwich, the Swan King.

The city used to be adorned with lights and colour, a true land of riches. The Swan Queen was arranged to marry the Crow King's son, Jesse, on her 20th birthday to unite the lands in peace. The two had a rocky beginning but soon fell head over heels in love. They were always seen together and both the districts were united as one. 

Years passed by until that one fateful day, the King declared the Queen missing, stolen from her very quarters. Their people and armies spent years looking for the Queen, but always came back empty-handed, her name soon lost to time.

Under the King's sole rule Norwich became much more devoid of life during the day, but at night the King would often hold large balls, inviting only the richest and most esteemed member of his district. Many say he keeps up this facade to hide the pain of his loss while others watch him with raised eyebrows.

Norwich is a large victorian styled city, always bustling with workers and the rich in its streets. The city is surrounded by dense forest land, making good hunting grounds. In the middle of the city lies a castle where the Swan empire resides, only the most highly decorated knights may sleep inside its walls to protect their king. Afflictions are allowed inside this district, however, they all must be declared. If the affliction is too dangerous, the user may be asked to leave or asked to wear an elemental blocker, stopping them from using magic. If a member has lied about their abilities and is found they are sent to the cities dungeon to be judged. While the city may appear strict in its ways, it is nowhere near as suffocating as Ashborne.
